Part Time Child Care Officer

One year fixed contract of 21 hours per week over 3 days

Salary: £9,419.69 - £10,208.30 PA pro rata (plus any additional allowances if applicable)

You will work within our team to provide a balanced curriculum to our pupils through a broad range of school activities.  You will be able to demonstrate skills in initiating new clubs or supporting/leading existing clubs such as cycling, walking, climbing, football, motorbikes, arts and crafts, gardening and cooking. We want you to help us in our aim for all boys to be able to socialise and enjoy each other's company, to progress educationally and personally and to maximise their prospects in life.

Brompton Hall is a North Yorkshire weekly boarding and extended day school in the village of Brompton 8 miles from Scarborough, for 60 boys aged 8 to 16 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health, and other associated special needs and learning difficulties. Our school has a very positive ethos and has received good reports from Ofsted for both education and care.

This is a term time only role which enables you to benefit from regular school holidays. You will be working 21 hours per week over three days between the hours of 2.30-9.30pm.There will be some flexability required in terms of days to aid in the efficient running of the school.

We are seeking an individual who has a desire to support young people to progress and achieve both educationally and personally. A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care would be beneficial, however by no means necessary as the school are happy to support the ideal candidate through this qualification.
